The Golden Nugget Founders Club is the core group of dedicated women who were responsible for the establishment of The Gold Diggers in 1993.

Under the leadership of the late Betty Mabee, Yvonne Lindroth Silva, Pam Sullivan, Priscilla Webb and many of their friends, they formed an organization-Gifts of Loving Donors-that could help fill many local needs rather than just those of one group. They realized a number of children and their caregivers fell through the cracks of the current government and foundation system, and knew that people in San Diego would open their hearts and their checkbooks to meaningful causes. They also wanted to help older people with special needs, crime victims, and people with vision problems. 

The Gold Diggers today are lead by a dedicated group of women.  Our Board of Directors 2011-2012 are listed here:
